The Scribner Family: What's On Your Mind in 2009?

Aunalie Scribner thinks so far life has made me pretty happy. Mommy and daddy make me smile a lot and I like the funny moving hairy things in our house. I have a pretty voice and love to sing, mommy says I sound like an alley cat sometimes! I don't know what that sounds like, but I bet it's real pretty. When I'm not singing, I talk to my baby. I call her BAH-BAH. I say ma-ma, da-da, gee-gee... I'm not really sure what they mean, but mommy and daddy like it. My brother likes to hug me HARD and sometimes he tackles me? He makes me laugh sometimes, but usually when he comes around, I cry. I'm so close to getting into all the fun toys and maybe someday soon, I'll catch one of those funny hairy things. And even better, I'll get away from my brother's huge bear hugs.
Noah Scribner says where's new blue Lightning A-queen? I hear that noises. Mommy hold you. Daddy, be careful, daddy! I'm sorry, Aunalie... I don't mean dat. Mommy, hide! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Kitty scared! I eat playdoh. Fire alarm loud. I'm not tired. "Noah did you poop?" -Dad, "No, Aunalie pooped!" -Noah. I try it, I like it. Mommy kiss it. Where Aunalie go? I want crackers. NO, I NO WANT CRACKERS! ...W, X, Y and Z... now I wonder what you are, up above the world so highhhh... Mommy, where ARE YOU? And, Thank you Jesus for CAKE!
Carrie Scribner thinks I slept better the month after my daughter was born than the two months before but now I'm exhausted from carrying around my 25 pound bowling ball. Turning 30 in November was a blast and I totally rocked that Kelly Clarkson song. Staying home with two children 22 months apart has been GREAT, but of course, challenging. I'm still waiting for Noah to get sick of tackling his sister, but I love watching them play and learn at an incredible rate! I've also decided to help out with MOPS this year by being on the steering team. I really LOVE MOPS, so much so, that I actually go to two different groups. I'm really digging the basement my husband built for me and the kiddos, and I hopefully will not flood it ever again! In 2010, I look forward to first, third and 30th birthdays(Shawn's)... keeping up with people on facebook and our first family vacation (since Aunalie joined us last March) to Minnesota AND/or Colorado!
Shawn Scribner can't believe how busy he is all the time. I'm either working on the house, changing poopy diapers or putting my face on Zach from Saved by the Bell. I'm entering year 3 of working for Bosch and like it a LOT. I mostly finished the basement (bathroom still in progress) and was only slightly upset to come home two weeks after the carpet was installed to see it mildly flooded. I am hoping in 2010 my son will start to help out around the house with cleaning, snow shoveling, and mowing. I really just hope my son stops trying to eat dirt, playdoh, and chalk and stops smashing things into his sisters head. I love watching Noah play with all the neighborhood boys, he loves playing with other kids even if he has never met them before, he has a very outgoing personality. Aunalie is my little princess, her laugh makes my day.

Merry Christmas from Shawn, Carrie, Noah and Aunalie! Have a GREAT year in 2010! God Bless!
