October Highlights

My favorite month is over, but it was so fun! I finally took the pictures off my "cameras" and had a lot to choose from. I can't believe how busy we were!  Martin's Hillside Orchard, Sunwest Farms, Estes Park, Vala's Pumpkin Patch, Halloween... Here are pics from the major things we did...

Aunalie's First week of Preschool

Aunalie, Aunalie, Aunalie... what can I say about her first week of preschool? It was only excellent. The only bad thing was right before we left for preschool the first day, I don't think she liked all the attention she was getting, but Noah actually jumped in and made her feel a ton better (one of my prouder moments of Noah)! Then we got there early, along with the rest of her class, and parents were taking pictures, and she could not stop smiling. When we went into preschool, I said, "do you remember what color your group was and with the biggest smile on, she pointed to the yellow bears and found her name almost immediately. Then off she went with Tessa to play. I don't even think she or I said goodbye, she was in heaven! I talked with the teachers afterwards and they said it was funny this year because a lot of the kids have older brothers/sisters that have been coming, so it's like they all knew what to do! But just as I suspected, she is loving it.

So, it only took two years to get here, but Noah FINALLY runs into preschool excitedly AND answers some of my questions when I pick him up!  It may be because his bestie Malcolm is there, or his girlfriend Emma... whatever it is, I'll take it!

It may be bad, but I do secretly hope he does not become a racecar driver. He is still in love with Lightening McQueen. Come on, Disney, let's pump out another movie that maybe is about super intelligent doctors who are safely in their labs or something.

I took a few pictures this BEAUTIFUL fall morning of my beautiful 18 month old... MASON! I love this kid, even when he is yelling at me to get my attention.

Yes, he does climb up that ladder and go down the slide by himself. And because he is my third, I don't worry about it at all.

R.P. Summer 2012

R.P. = Random Pictures. I know a lot of my posts are Random, but the Scribner house is crazy and it's even amazing that I think to snap pictures once in while. I have probably 10K pictures of Noah about an eighth of Mason (which is still plenty, ha ha!). Such is life of a third child, right? He doesn't seem to mind, and soon he'll catch up with Noah because Noah is not my camera lover. I feel like the paparazzi when trying to take pictures of Noah.

Here's Aunalie on her favorite horse in the world, Billy! She rides him about 100 times better than I ever rode any pony. Of course, Billy is the best pony EVER! And that's saying a lot coming from me.

Earlier this summer, I can't remember when, we went to the Henry Doorly Zoo and Mason was really loving the aquarium. He'd run up to the tanks and sort of scream out in excitement! It was a very nice day, so it must have been before the drought started. Seems like ages ago!

Here's from the 3rd of July block BOMB party that we have. Seemed extra loud this year, but that's probably because I got to be outside more often this year. So glad we survived that day! The 4th of July was even better. We got to relax in our driveway and watch about 2 hours of endless fireworks that went off all around our house. It still amazes me how much people spend, but I love watching it!

This is truly random... but we spent a lot of time outside this summer even though it was super hot.  In fact, this picture is about a month old, that grass is no longer green but brown and crunchy. Noah learned to ride his bike early in June, so we went on several family bike rides, including a 6.5 mile ride down to a llama farm and a shorter one around Holmes Lake!

And here's Noah on Billy. Noah likes Billy, but not as much as he loves the 4-wheeler with Grandpa Lonnie! We really had a great summer, but are really excited to get back to school!  Grandma Karen has been taking the older two to the library and checking out books all summer.  She is largely responsible for helping them get their prizes from the summer reading program.  Aunalie is excited about starting preschool this year! Noah is going back to Meadowlane for one more year in preparation for elementary school. He is excited to see his friends again! It's going to be interesting with all the driving back and forth, but I think it's going to be an awesome year!

Noah's first sport officially has begun. Too bad he was exhausted after the Columbus trip, he was kind of out of it at his first game. He said he had fun though! I think it ended up being a tie!

One of the best secrets in Nebraska is COLUMBUS!!! They have one of the best water parks and for $6 a person, it's amazing! (4 and under are FREE! I'm trying to sell it, but really, it's worth the trip!) Anyway, had another fun time with my Colorado cousins (and second cousins). It went way too fast! All the kids got along really well!
